As College President and Vice President, we’re really pleased that you’re considering BHC as an option for your future. We know that choosing somewhere to continue your studies can be tough, but if you choose Barrow Hall College you won’t be disappointed! Although lots of students from Great Sankey High School stay with us in the college, we also look forward to welcoming students from other schools – we think we’re a very friendly and inclusive place for everybody!
One of the best things about being a school-based sixth form is the amount of support available, no matter what you choose to study. But with so many courses to choose from, it’s easy to forget all the other stuff that makes Barrow Hall College such a great place to learn. There are loads of opportunities to get involved in, from student leadership to national competitions. As we’re closely linked with the main school, you can also easily work alongside younger students to improve their development and your skills. This means that you can develop into an independent, confident student, giving you an added advantage when applying for university courses, apprenticeships or jobs.
And don’t forget that you’ll be learning in a dedicated sixth form only multi-million pound building with all sorts of great facilities, from an excellent LRC and all-day café to drama and art studios, along with cutting-edge ICT equipment. This makes Barrow Hall College a really exciting and vibrant place to learn.
Hopefully we’ve given you a snapshot of life at Barrow Hall College and shown you how BHC can help you to make the most of your future. Good luck with your exams and we hope to see you in September!
